Traditional dovetailed drawers.

At East Coast Cabinets we manufacture our chests and wardrobes using traditional dovetailed joints in the drawers for strength and beauty. A handcrafted dovetail joint is an extremely old woodworking joint and has always been known for its strength. We also use solid pine for the drawer bases resulting in a high quality piece of furniture.
We also make use of modern hardware if desired, for example ball bearing drawer slides are safer and easier to use, especially with heavier drawers, than more traditional methods of furniture construction.

East Coast Cabinets can supply a range of pine chests in different sizes, designs and finishes including painted finishes.

Often there is a requirement for purpose built furniture for a particular item, for example a CD chest may be needed which can hold a relatively large amount of CD's or a chest may be needed to fit into a particular area.

Solid Pine Bookcases.

We can make pine bookcases and shelving units to any size required by the customer and have a range of finishes available including waxes, lacquers and paints. Bookcases can be made with adjustable or fixed shelves and can be made as the customer would like, incorporating drawers or other features if required. We also make radiator cabinets, these would have open panels in the doors to allow airflow, we can also incorporate additional cabinets or shelving.
